In January 2001 Jennifer Fishel moved to Greenville and began working as an associate in Dr. James F. Matthews’ optometric practice. The reason for the move soon became clear to Dr. Fishel, when she purchased the business from Dr. Matthews the following January. Founded by Dr. Sam White, the practice is the oldest private optometric practice in Greenville. Dr. White first began seeing patients in downtown Greenville in 1951. Dr. Fishel continues that same level of personal care to her patients that can only be found in a private practice.

Today, Dr. Fishel works intandem with Dr. Elizabeth Gunst, and together they provide Greenville and the surrounding areas with a comprehensive eye care practice, including eye exams, glaucoma screenings, and cataract care. In addition, the practice provides a large inventory of designer eyewear and contact lens solutions.
